"Together We're Stronger" is Available Worldwide on iTunes - June 9, 2009

If you use iTunes to download music click here Nicholas Mrozinski - Together We're Stronger - Easter and Keeko

Here are some early reviews of the new album, "Together We're Stronger"

"Mrozinski is just a terrific composer. The fact that he could string together so many wonderful moments on one disc just blows the mind.

Unless his songwriting keeps evolving at this impossible-to-maintain rate, this record will most likely go down in the books as his “Pet Sounds.” It moves effortlessly from lush, gorgeous numbers like “Easter and Keeko” and “What’s This?” to ones like “Predictable” and “And You Will,” which benefit from light programming flourishes.

“Together We’re Stronger” is all at once expansive and as inviting as the cheek grooves in your sofa.

Like Wilco did with “Summer Teeth,” Mrozinski is starting to come out of his shell, and it’s really a marvelous thing."

Matthew R. Perrine - Shake Your Shores

"...groovy Little Feat jams bumping up against Dave Matthews-ish feel-good choruses... Mrozinski's John Hiatt-like howl and bouncy piano keep things flowing..."

Chris Riemenschneider - Star Tribune

"Mrozinski assembled a small army of collaborators from local bands like the Big Wu, God Johnson, the Root City Band and Down Lo to help record his new album, "Together We're Stronger." The result is a loose and likeable disc that's sure to find an appreciative audience..."

Ross Raihala - Pioneer Press

"...Nick's distinctive voice...flutters up and down a very large vocal range. At times it is warm and low and others high and flighty. This gives the songs great depth of soul.

...not only did a lot of thought go into the content of the album, but the physical production was responsibly thought out, as well.

All in all, I am interested in where Nick Mrozinski is going."

Ian Indo - Twin City Scene

"...an organic, collaborative creation from production to packaging

Mrozinski’s music is more suited for sunshine-filled afternoons where the birds are awake and the sounds of the world are alive to sing harmony..."

*Official Press Release - May 1st 2009*

A Shining Moment in Minnesota Music.

Saint Paul, Minnesota – The vibrant local singer-songwriter Nicholas Mrozinski’s last three albums came with critical acclaim, but—with some big time help, and a ton of steam—it is his newest project, Together We’re Stronger, that delivers some truly great songs. In 2008 we watched Nicholas lose over 100+ pounds and perform over 150+ shows. This new found energy, passion, and momentum brought All-Star Minnesota musicians out of the woodwork to be a part of his new album and to share their own gifts. Together We’re Stronger is not only a testament to the times we face, now, together, but also a validation of the thriving local Twin Cities music scene. The players contributing to the album span over 40+ local bands, unofficially dubbed “The Feelin Orchestra” after Mrozinski’s nickname “The Feelin”.

The way everybody came together to contribute like this really makes the album name ring HOME. It also says a lot about Nicholas’ individual talents. Ask any of the contributing local musicians and they’ll tell you that Nicholas’ music is special. Referring to his “global and magnetizing voice,” Rift Magazine believes he is “a chosen one” in the local scene. Budgeteer News discovered that Nicholas’ “music draws you in, and keeps you fixated from the first note. It's like falling in love with music all over again.” Summing it up is The Duluth News Tribune who proclaims, “This man is capable of producing such a warm sound, you’d swear you were sitting in front of an open flame.”

It’s time to start believing in your local music scene again.

Come see why on Friday June 5th, 2009 at the wonderful Cedar Cultural Center.

“There’s a sprit in the air, it’s a time for change, are you gonna keep sitting quietly and let things just stay the same? What are you waiting for?” This is the question proposed by Nicholas on the opening track of Oak Chase Way, titled “How Many Times?”

So, What are we waiting for?

No doubt we can all relate to these sentiments. Each and every one of us has a laundry list of things we know we should be doing in our lives. We all want to feel good, be healthy and thrive, but instead are constantly making choices that lead us in the opposite direction. Why is that? We are distracted and derailed from our higher self and purpose by every day life. Instant gratification, convenience and fear tempt us into things that come with grave consequences both personally and globally. What ever happened to working hard, truly earning what you have, paying for things up front and then basking in the reward of accomplishment and the virtue of doing something good? Getting back to focusing on the truly important things is a central theme to this album.

Many of the songs were written during a transformational period for Nicholas who, through a broken heart, allowed himself to go down the wrong path. He drank to numb the pain, ate poorly, slept all day, put on a bunch of weight and focused on all the negative things around him. He began having crippling panic attacks and eventually couldn’t even drive his own car. He had to hit rock bottom before he could really step back and look at the results of his actions and lifestyle. As if the broken heart wasn’t bad enough, now he had ruined his emotional and physical well being too. He knew he had to climb out of this hole he had dug for himself and with two steps forward and one step back he worked hard to keep progressing forward. He kept at it until he gained enough momentum to really start feeling good again. Through his dedication, focus and hard work he eventually lost over 100 pounds and even found love again. Through this empowering change Nicholas created for himself, was born a drive to help and share with others.

True change, or better yet, a lasting transformation, starts with the individual first. The need to focus inward on our own lives, to find our purpose, and to live true to it are paramount if we want to truly thrive as people. Once we get ourselves straightened out and moving forward again, we can, as a whole, start working on the bigger global issues at hand. None of us want war, poverty, hunger, or to live in a polluted and contaminated environment but yet we still allow ourselves to partake and enable these activities. Why?

We know better but why don’t we act accordingly?

Oak Chase Way is a call to open our hearts and minds, and to look within to enable positive change in this world. With ongoing war, pollution, and poverty running rampant we can’t continue to turn a blind eye as to what is really happening in this world. We are all human beings living this existence together. There is abundance in this world, enough for everyone, yet we are driven by greed and fear instead of love and compassion. This album serves as a reminder to the things that really matter and the long, yet rewarding process of turning our own ships around and being able to act instinctively out of love. We need to think, focus and remain aware of all of our actions. We need to put ourselves in each other’s shoes and walk around a bit. Nicholas hopes this Album can serve as a catalyst for positive change with you, your loved ones and the entire world.

The Feelin Band "The Sacred Play of Life" - April 15, 2008

The Feelin Band will be releasing “The Sacred Play of Life” on Mrozinski’s own label, Wake the World, Saturday April 12th, 2008 at Trocaderos, in their hometown. On Tuesday, April 15th the album will be available Worldwide from the band’s website, www.thefeelin.com, through CD Baby, iTunes and other national distributors. The CD packaging features “green” design, using recycled materials and FSC certified board. The band has a regional tour scheduled and is currently booking a national tour.

Bringing hope, optimism and light into a sometimes dark and detached world is exactly what The Feelin Band does with their debut release. Driven by Mrozinski’s commanding vocals and flowing piano, the four-piece soul-rockers have a refreshingly unique sound and distinctive style. They have, however, drawn comparisons to the likes of Van Morrison, Tom Waits, John Lennon, John Legend, Blind Melon, and Dr. John. The common theme here is Soul, Traditional R&B, Blues, Folk, Rock and Jazz but the album also includes tracks in Reggae, Spanish flavor and even a cinematic, Disney-like tune “Villain". The Album plays out like a movie; it is intended to take the listener on a journey. It is a true “Album” you want to take the time to sit down and listen to from beginning to end – a rarity in today’s Top 40 music climate. It is art and creation in its purest form. Combining that purity with such powerful singing and playing truly sets this album, and band, apart.
